Sew-on Velcro Tape
Velcro you stitch straight onto canvas, covers, bags and seats, for flaps, doors and straps that open and close by hand. It is the original Velcro from Germany, in 25mm, 38mm and 50mm. The hook and the loop side come on separate 25m rolls, so you buy as much of each as your job needs.

What Velcro tape do you sell?
We sell original, German-made sew-on Velcro tape on 25m rolls, in 25mm, 38mm and 50mm widths. It is stitched onto fabric, so it suits canvas, covers, bags, seats and clothing, anywhere the fastening has to survive being opened and closed every day.
Hook and loop come on separate rolls. A fastening needs one of each, but not always the same amount. A cover with several flaps, for example, might use more of one side. Buying them separately means you only pay for what you use.
Sew-on, not sticky-backed. Stitching holds far better than glue on fabric that flexes, gets wet or sits in the sun. If you need a self-adhesive strip for a wall or a hard surface, this is not the product.
Three widths in stock. 25mm for light flaps, pockets and clothing, 38mm as the general-purpose width, and 50mm for covers, doors and anything that catches wind.
Velcro closes, it does not hold up. It keeps a flap or a door shut. It is not built to carry weight or the full pull of wind on a big tent. On a marquee, a large cover or anything under strain, use 50mm and let straps, buckles or ties take the load.
Need heavy duty Velcro? Choose 50mm and stitch it all the way round. Sewn on, it holds a cover, flap or strap far better than self-adhesive Velcro strips can.
Sew it with outdoor thread. Velcro on a cover or a tent outlasts the stitching if the thread is not up to the sun. We stock Serafil M20 UV sewing thread for exactly that, and webbing for the straps the Velcro closes.

The hook side is the stiff, rough one. The loop side is the soft, fuzzy one. You need one of each to make a fastening.
Which widths and colours do you stock?
Black in 25mm, 38mm and 50mm. White in 25mm and 50mm. Olive in 50mm. Every one comes as hook and as loop, on 25m rolls.

What is sew-on Velcro used for?
Closures that open and close by hand. Our Velcro buyers range from tent makers to bag makers. The width beside each job is a starting point.
Making a marquee or a large tent? Velcro only closes the doors and flaps. The frame, guy ropes and straps carry the load, so do not rely on Velcro to hold the structure.

Which side is hook and which is loop?
The hook side is the stiff, rough one, covered in tiny hooks. The loop side is the soft, fuzzy one. A fastening needs one of each in the same width.
Do you sell hook and loop together?
They come on separate 25m rolls, so you can order the same amount of each or more of one side. Most customers order one roll of hook and one of loop.
Is your Velcro self-adhesive?
No. The Velcro we stock is sew-on, made to be stitched onto fabric. Stitching holds far better than glue on canvas, covers and seats that flex, get wet or stand in the sun.
Is it genuine Velcro?
Yes. It is original Velcro, made in Germany.
What widths and colours do you have?
25mm, 38mm and 50mm. Black is stocked in all three widths, white in 25mm and 50mm, and olive in 50mm. Other colours and widths on request.
Do you sell heavy duty Velcro?
For heavy duty use, choose 50mm sew-on Velcro and stitch it all the way round with a UV thread such as Serafil M20. Sewn on, it holds far better than self-adhesive strips.
Which width should I use?
25mm for light flaps, pockets and clothing. 38mm as a general-purpose width. 50mm for covers, tent doors and anything that catches wind. Velcro keeps things closed; on a marquee or anything under strain, let straps or ties carry the load. If you are unsure, WhatsApp Lizl with what you are making.
Can I buy Velcro by the metre?
Velcro comes on 25m rolls. If you need less than a roll, ask Lizl and she will tell you what can be cut.
