coverSMART by Smart Ikhaya is a range of high-performance technical textiles for protective covers, upholstery, and industrial applications. Each fabric is carefully selected for durability, weather resistance, and South African conditions – from the harsh UV of the Highveld to the salt air of the coast. We supply cut lengths and bulk rolls with no minimum order, direct from our Midrand warehouse. Covering a boat? Our 155gsm boat cover fabric is acrylic-coated polyester on 1.5m rolls, cut by the metre or by the 100m roll. For bakkie load bins there is tonneau cover fabric in 570gsm and 630gsm stretch.

What does coverSMART specialise in?
coverSMART provides high-performance technical textile solutions for automotive, marine, and industrial applications. We stock UV-stabilised, waterproof, and abrasion-resistant fabrics suited for boat covers, vehicle canopies, grain covers, and outdoor enclosures – all available from our Midrand warehouse.
What options do you have for boat and vehicle covers?
For marine and vehicle applications we offer UV-stabilised, high-strength polyester and acrylic-coated materials. These include our All Weather, Ripstop, and Renoster fabrics – each suited to different weight, breathability, and abrasion requirements. WhatsApp Lizl to discuss which is right for your application.
Do you have materials for grain and industrial covers?
Yes. Our All Weather fabric is suited for agricultural grain covers and industrial site enclosures. It is built for maximum UV and moisture resistance and can be supplied in bulk roll lengths or custom-cut to your specification.
Do you provide custom-cut pieces?
Yes. While we offer full-roll pricing for bulk fabricators, we specialise in supplying custom cut lengths for specific projects. There is no minimum order quantity – you buy exactly what you need. Contact us with your required width and length for a quote.
Can I request a fabric sample?
Yes. We understand that durability, texture, and colour are critical for cover fabrics. WhatsApp Lizl to request a swatch or cut sample before committing to a full order. Samples are posted nationwide.
How should I clean and maintain my covers?
Rinse covers periodically with fresh water and mild soap using a soft brush. Avoid high-pressure cleaners or harsh solvents. For coated fabrics, allow to air-dry fully before folding. For specific care instructions for each fabric type, ask us when ordering.
What are the delivery lead times?
Cut-length orders are typically dispatched within 1-2 business days. For bulk roll orders please allow 3-5 business days. We ship via courier nationwide – delivery usually takes 1-3 business days depending on your location. Remote area surcharges may apply.
