Leather Processing & Storage

To preserve Olienhout’s qualities during upholstery work:
Maintain hide humidity at 10 – 12%.
Keep processing temperatures below 60 °C.
Store hides flat in a dry space at 15 – 40 °C, without stacking heavy weights.
Avoid shrink wrapping, heat guns, and solvents that may weaken adhesion.
Confirm chemical compatibility if applying further treatments.

Leather Care

Keep away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
Use only specialised leather cleaners and protectors.
Avoid multipurpose cleaning products or harsh solvents.
Clean spills immediately: blot, then wipe gently with a damp white cloth, finishing with a soft dry cloth.
Domestic furniture: clean and re-protect every 6 months. Contract furniture: follow a regular cleaning programme according to usage.
