Leather Processing & Storage

Crafted from European bovine hides using chrome tanning, Kanniedood is finished as a full aniline leather with a hand-applied oil blend for its signature pull-up effect. Hides should be stored with 10–12% internal humidity in a dry environment (15–40°C), avoiding excessive weight, heat sources, shrink-wrapping, or materials that may react with the leather. Natural scars, growth marks, and slight colour variations are a sign of authenticity and are not considered defects.

Leather Care

Keep furniture away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
Use recommended leather cleaners and protectors only; avoid multi-purpose cleaning products.
Treat stains promptly – dab with blotting paper, gently clean from outside to inside with a damp cloth, dry, and polish with a soft cloth.
Domestic furniture: clean and re-protect at least every six months. Contract furniture: follow a regular maintenance program appropriate to usage.
